What is microcalcification in mammography ? | Prof. Dr. Bülent ÇİTGEZ

If micro calcifications are detected on mammograms during follow-up, surgical intervention may be considered depending on the shape and number of micro calcifications. If the technique of the hospital is appropriate, vacuum biopsy can be performed. If vacuum biopsy is not possible, the location is marked with sweat before the operation, the hotel and the area are removed during the operation and a mammography film is taken at the same time.  If the mammogram shows that microcalcifications are removed, the operation is terminated and the treatment is planned according to the result.
